Hermeto Pascoal is pretty much the ultimate force to be reckoned w/when it comes to Brazilian free jazz.  He plays on some of those early 70's Miles Davis monsters, and his disc Só Não Toca Quem Não Quer ("Only if you don't want it you can't do it") is a really good introduction. [JW]

Just scored Hermeto Pascoal's Hermeto on Cobblestone/Buddah, produced by Airto. These have to be some of the strangest orchestral arrangements that I have ever heard. Highly recommended. [DS]

Have to agree that this is a strange--but wonderful--mix of stuff. It seems to range from elevator music to inspired Brazilian rhythms, sometimes in the same song. [BD]

Slaves Mass is unevenly relevant to Kozmigroov: its coolest feature is the use of live pigs as percussion. [ISH]

I'm looking all over for this [brazilian Adventure]-where can I get?
