Baiyina (The Clear Evidence) is probably the best "Indian/Fusion" album of all time. Richard Davis RULES(duh) on the bass and some of Pat's lines sound Positively Ornettish. Manages to somehow accomplish the implausible/probable in staying firmly rooted in the jazz guitar traditions of steadfast attention to tone phrasing while rewriting the repertoire. Desert island disc for sure for anyone who loves jazz or the guitar. Highly underrated.
