Space Minds, New Worlds, Survival of America is indeed a really fucking weird piece, especially the suite on side 1, where Teitelbaum's moogs lift the already bizarre AACM atmospheres in a totally different direction.  Whereas the Revolutionary Ensemble was always based as much around improvisational interplay as anything, Jenkins' extra-RE compositions tend to be some of the more challenging stuff in the "genre".  Like, obviously structured, but along the lines of some pretty alien logical system, often involving weird combinations of instruments playing across one another (sometimes it's kinda "Ivesian" in the way two totally unlike structures sit on top each other) with various freaky improvs flying all 'round.  Side 2 is a bit more "normal", but this's still a real serious head-chew that would undoubtedly clear any cocktail party.
